Like all great stories, ours began in college.
During a particularly productive No Shave November way back in 2014, our founder was forced to find creative ways to soften and silken his newly-grown facial hair. Unsatisfied with the products on the market, Dylan began hand-crafting his concoctions using all organic ingredients. Packed with nourishing oils, our rejuvenating formulas combine natural essential oils to kill bacteria, promote growth, and tame unruly beards.
Just like your beard, we keep growing.
After our oils literally flew off the shelves, we knew we struck a chord with the passionate purveyors of our products. But, with growth comes growing pains. More orders mean more production, more packaging, more shipping. Thus, more time is needed to insure everything runs smoothly. Sure, we could have outsourced everything overseas like a lot of brands do. But at the cost of shipping time, integrity of our products, brand image, and most importantly, quality. We pride ourselves on making our products not only with all natural, organic ingredients, but also 100% in the USA.
Dylan had a choice to make. Keep learning about business in the classroom, or take a leap of faith, run Bearded Pleasures full time, and get a real-world education in what it takes to run a business you can be proud of. Dropping out of college the summer before your senior year isn’t the most popular thing to do. Nor is it something we are advising here. But, when you have a belief in yourself and in a product or idea that you know deep down can make the world a better place, you go all in. One beard at a time.
